Analyzing data quality results
To analyze and manage your created data quality queries and metrics go to the Datasets > Data quality page. You can check the following information:
- Data warehouse that the query monitored
- Scheduled time of the query runs
- Time of the last query run
- Query result values at specific points in time
- Data quality trend
If a data quality query does not exist, the page is empty. You need to create and save a data quality query to be displayed on the page.
You can filter queries according to whether they are active or disabled - to do that select the corresponding tab. For more information on disabling and enabling query runs, go to Working with data quality queries.
Metrics of query runs
The Metrics tab displays the results of your data quality query in the form of a chart. It presents the details of the query such as its name, scheduling, and the monitored data warehouse. You can see the trend of the data quality values over the time frame that you specified in your SQL. The exceptions in the number of records, which are deviations from the returned average value, are marked in red.
The query metric is created automatically when a data quality query is saved.
To get more details, hover your cursor over the graph. As a result you can learn about the exact time of each query and the returned value. You can also see the value ranges for the trend. For the exceptions in the number of records, you can see whether the trend is upward or downward. The deviation is expressed as the percentage of the average-returned value.
The Metrics tab is empty by default. To add data, you can either select the metric from the search list or click Add data quality query.
You can add as many metrics as you want.
In the tab, you can also configure the data display and edit or delete a metric. For more information, go to Working with metrics.
