Organization

On the Organization page, you can configure settings such as notifications, Single Sign-on (SSO), and viewing permissions.

Notifications

Register a Databand bot in your organization's Slack workspace. This bot can then be used by other users in your Databand environment to create alert receivers for their Slack channels. For more information, go to the Slack bot alert receivers topic.

SMTP

Configure SMTP settings to customize email notifications. The SMTP server that is configured here is used for all the emails that Databand sends. The following details can be configured for an SMTP server:

  • Email address to send the emails from
  • SMTP hostname: New SMTP in the hostname:port format.
  • SMTP API key or username
  • SMTP service password or access token

You can also enable TLS to make your SMTP connection secured.

SSO Configuration

Enable SSO through SAML for the users in the Databand environment.

To enable SSO, you need to provide the following details:

  • Provider name
  • Entity ID
  • Metadata URL

Viewing permissions

Users with the Owner role can grant viewing permissions to other users. Such permissions override the permissions that are granted to the users in the All assets group. For more information, go to Viewing permissions.
