Email alert receivers
You can create receivers to send Databand alerts directly to your email.
To create email receivers in Databand:
- Go to Alerts > Receivers > Add receiver.
- Select Email as the Alert type and enter
the following information:
- Receiver name
- The name of the receiver displayed in Databand.
- Email address
- The email address to which alerts are sent.
- If you are a Databand Self-Hosted user and you didn't previously configure SMTP
settings, or if you are a SaaS user and you want your emails to be sent from a specific address,
complete the following advanced settings:
- Under the Advanced settings dropdown, select the I want to override system default
email provider checkbox and provide the following information:
- Email address to send the emails from
- The default email address is no-reply-dbnd-alerts@databand.ai.
- SMTP hostname
- For example, smtp.example.com.
- SMTP username
- API key or username
- SMTP password
- Service password or access token
- Select the Enable TLS for SMTP connection checkbox to secure your SMTP connection.
- Under the Advanced settings dropdown, select the I want to override system default
email provider checkbox and provide the following information:
- Validate the configuration by clicking Test connection.
- Click Next.
- Choose the defined alerts that you want to be notified about through this receiver, then click Save.
Note: All SaaS customers are provided with a default SMTP provider. If you use the default SMTP
provider, make sure to allowlist no-reply-dbnd-alerts@databand.ai. If you don't
configure Advanced settings, Databand uses the SMTP server that was
configured through Settings > Organization > SMTP.
