Email alert receivers

You can create receivers to send Databand alerts directly to your email.

To create email receivers in Databand:

1. Go to Alerts > Receivers > Add receiver.
2. Select Email as the Alert type and enter the following information:

   Receiver name

   The name of the receiver displayed in Databand.

   Email address

   The email address to which alerts are sent.

3. If you are a Databand Self-Hosted user and you didn't previously configure SMTP settings, or if you are a SaaS user and you want your emails to be sent from a specific address, complete the following advanced settings:
   1. Under the Advanced settings dropdown, select the I want to override system default email provider checkbox and provide the following information:

      Email address to send the emails from

      The default email address is no-reply-dbnd-alerts@databand.ai.

      SMTP hostname

      For example, smtp.example.com.

      SMTP username

      API key or username

      SMTP password

      Service password or access token

   2. Select the Enable TLS for SMTP connection checkbox to secure your SMTP connection.
4. Validate the configuration by clicking Test connection.
5. Click Next.
6. Choose the defined alerts that you want to be notified about through this receiver, then click Save.
