Alerts
The Alerts page contains all alerts that were triggered within your Databand environment.
You can view all alerts, or you can choose to view alerts by their status, either Open, Acknowledged, or Resolved.
- Assets
- The sources, projects, or pipelines in your environment.
- Alert type
- The specific category that an alert is tracking, for example task state or schema change.
- Severity
- A user-defined attribute that describes how serious an alert is.
- Triggered time
- The time frame within which an alert was triggered. By default, alerts that were triggered in the past 7 days are displayed.
- Collaborators
- The individuals who are added to an alert. As a collaborator, you can easily view the alerts that are assigned to you.
Investigating an alert
To see more information and figure out why an alert was triggered, either:
- Click the alert name
- Hover over the alert that you want to know more about and click View details.
The Alert details page provides more information that can help you resolve a pipeline or data incident. If you create receivers, each alert payload that is sent to a receiver includes a link to the Alert details page.
The Alert details page displays all of the same information that is shown on the Alerts page, and much more detailed information. The amount and type of information that is displayed depends on the alert type. Each alert can include:
- Logs
- Error messages
- Impact analysis
- Metric trend graphs
Changing the status of an alert
To change the status of an individual alert, either:
- Hover over the alert, then click More options
and click Mark acknowledged or Mark resolved.
- From the Alert details page, click Mark acknowledged or Mark resolved.
To change the status of multiple alerts at once:
- Select the checkboxes for the alerts whose status you want to change, then click Mark acknowledged or Mark resolved.
