You can create new viewpoints, or customize an existing modeling
viewpoints, to reduce the number of tools that are displayed in the user interface.
For example, you can duplicate a predefined UPIA viewpoint as a base, and
then select or clear specific capabilities to provide only the tools that
you need to work with UPIA models.
Procedure
- Click , expand Modeling, and click Viewpoints.
- Complete one of the following steps:
- To create a new viewpoint, click New. In the Create
New Viewpoint window, type a name for the new viewpoint and click OK.
- To modify an existing viewpoint, from the Viewpoints list,
select a viewpoint, click Duplicate, type a name for
the custom viewpoint, and click OK.
- In the capabilities list, select the check boxes for the specific
capabilities to include in the viewpoint.. For example, expand UML
Element Building Blocks and select UML Collaboration.
- Click Apply.
- Click OK.

You can now enable the custom viewpoint that you created.
