Applying the Deployment Analysis profile to a UML model

The Deployment Analysis profile provides deployment units, non-functional requirements (NFRs) and other operational modeling elements for use in UML models.

Procedure

  1. In the Project Explorer view, right-click a model and then click Properties.
  2. In the Properties view, click the Profiles tab.
  3. On the Profiles tab, click Add Profile.
  4. In the Select Profile window, in the Deployed Profile list, click the Deployment Analysis profile.
  5. Click OK.

What to do next

Now that you have applied the Deployment Analysis profile to the UML model, you can use the UML elements and stereotypes in this profile to model the high-level deployment organization for the applications in the model.
