Calculating the fan-in of selected classes

You can use the Fan-In pluglet to calculate the fan-in metric for a class.

Before you begin

About this task

Procedure

Import your UML model into your Package Explorer view.
Import the Fan-In pluglet sample from the Help, Samples section.
Run the pluglet for the first time by selecting the pluglet sample FanInMetric.java in the Package Explorer.
Click Run > Internal Tools > Run As > Pluglet
Select your class in either Project Explorer view or Package Explorer view. Click Run > Internal Tools > FanInMetric.

Results

The pluglet runs, and the fan-in results are displayed in the Console window.
