Enabling workbench capabilities

In order to simplify the workbench, you can hide product components that you do not want to use. workbench. These product components are linked to capabilities, and by turning these capabilities on or off, you can enable or disable the related components.

Procedure

  1. Click Window > Preferences.
  2. In the Preferences window, expand General and click Capabilities.
  3. Enable the capabilities by completing one of the following steps:
    • To enable an entire group of capabilities, such as UML Diagram Building Blocks, from the Capabilities list, select the corresponding check box.
    • To enable all the available capabilities, click Enable All.
    • To enable individual capabilities within a group, click Advanced and, in the Advanced Capabilities Setting window, expand the group, select the corresponding check boxes, and click OK.
      Tip: Each UML building block enables one or more modeling diagrams or elements. The Description field displays the functionality or elements in each capability. To view the description, click the name of the capability.
  4. In the Preferences window, click Apply.
  5. Click OK.
