Searching for process guidance with process search

You can search for more information using Process Search. The search tool is accessed using a Process Advisor toolbar button.

Before you begin

First, ensure the Process Advisor view is open and docked in the current perspective.

About this task

To search for process guidance:

Procedure

On the Process Advisor toolbar, click the Process Search button. The Process Search page of the Search window opens.
Type a search phrase in the Search query field.
Optional: if you would like to further narrow results, select the Advanced check box and complete any of the following steps:
- Select the check boxes for all relevant topics you want to include in the results.
- To include related pages, click Include related pages in search results, and then click the check box beside each relevant page.
Click the Search button.

Results

The Search view opens and docks in your current perspective, displaying your query phrase, scope, and search options, as well as the results of the search grouped by topic.

What to do next

Now you can follow the links in the Search view to the topic content in the Process Browser window.
