Configuring UPIA modeling capabilities and viewpoints
You can use modeling capabilities to control which features are enabled in your
IBM
DevOps Model Architect. Viewpoints can be used to hide or expose user interface controls in the
workspace.
About this task
Enabling UPIA modeling capabilities
To use the UPIA modeling features to develop UPIA models,
you must globally enable the UPIA modeling capability.
Enabling UPIA viewpoints
You can select one of five predefined UPIA viewpoints to
change the set of capabilities that you want to use. When you change
the viewpoint, the available tools, including pop-up menu items and
Palette items, are updated to provide the corresponding modeling tools.
You can also enable custom viewpoints that you have defined.
Creating custom viewpoints for UPIA models
You can create new viewpoints, or customize an existing modeling
viewpoints, to reduce the number of tools that are displayed in the user interface.
For example, you can duplicate a predefined UPIA viewpoint as a base, and
then select or clear specific capabilities to provide only the tools that
you need to work with UPIA models.
