Adding layers to diagrams

You can add layers to new or existing diagrams in the model.

Procedure

  1. In the Properties view, on the Layers page click the Add Layer icon.
  2. Type a name for the layer. When you click an element in the diagram editor, the icon appears in the Layers view next to the layer that contains the element.

Results

All elements that are now created are placed in the active layer. You can add additional layers. You can also move layers up and down in the stack. You can also add or remove elements from the layer by selecting them and clicking the icon in the Properties view on the Layers page.
