Adding images to sketches

You can add images to a sketch from a set of stock images or from a location on your computer.

Before you begin

Create a sketch and open it in the sketch editor. See Sketching simple diagrams. You can convert any sketch element to an image by right-clicking it and then clicking Set Image, or you can create an image element on the sketch, as in the following steps:

Procedure

  1. In the Palette, from the Sketch Shapes drawer, add a Picture to the sketch.
  2. At the bottom right corner of the picture, click the icon that indicates a folder, as shown in the following figure.

  3. In the Picture window, specify the image to use.
  4. If you want to keep the image available to use again, select the Add to Sketch Images palette check box. If you select this check box, the image appears in the Sketch Images drawer of the Palette.
  5. Click OK.
