Creating a blank report design file for EMF and UML model reports

To create a blank report design file:

1. Click Window > Show View > Other, expand Reporting, and double-click Report Explorer.
2. Right-click the UML Model reporting category; then click New Report.
3. Select UML Models as the report manager for the template.
4. Select the report to use as the basis for your new report, and click Next. Unless you want to incorporate specific features from an existing report design, select Blank UML Model Report.
5. Type the report display name and description, and click Next.
6. Specify a file name and location for the report design, and click Finish. Any data source and data set that are associated with the report are copied into the new report. For a blank UML model report, the data source and data set are generic.
7. In the Report Explorer view, expand UML Model and right-click the new report; then click Open.
