Differences between versions of a model
A difference is an item that differs between two versions of a
model.
When the software compares models, it identifies the following types of
differences between a version of a model and its base model:
- Add
- Change
- Delete
- Join
- Separate
- Move, where an element changes parents
- Reorder, where an element changes its position under the same parent
Examples of differences include the addition of a class or entity, the renaming of a class or entity, and the deletion of a package. These differences occur when you perform a single action that results in a single difference.
When you select a difference, its description is highlighted in the model to indicate the changed element or the position of an added or deleted element.
