You can find RAS assets by searching connected repositories with
a keyword search. You use the search window to find assets that meet your
development needs. The search is performed on the contents of specific parts
of the RAS asset manifest file.
Before you begin
Searching repositories To locate a RAS asset that is saved in a repository, you supply
keywords that are compared with parts of the RAS asset manifest files. You
can also perform a more complex search by building queries to search one
or more connected repositories.
Creating custom search queries To help save time in locating a RAS asset in a repository you can
use existing search queries or create and save new ones. Queries can be created
by specifying the namespace, a profile or repository, or a property name.
Previewing RAS asset manifest files You can preview the contents of each RAS asset manifest file before
deciding to import the asset. The RAS asset manifest file includes documentation
that the RAS asset producer has provided to describe the asset. In addition,
you can see the details of the contents of the RAS asset.
Previewing RAS asset properties Before importing an asset, you can view the properties of the asset
to learn general information about the asset, such as the asset version, file
size, and permissions. The exact list of properties is determined by each
repository.
