Adding RAS assets to multiple folders

You can add assets to multiple folders within a repository in the Asset Explorer view. Organizing your assets into folders will help you find assets more quickly. For instance, you can have a folder with all assets by operating system, and another folder with all assets by technology. The repository administrator sets the permissions required for creating folders and moving assets.

About this task

To add RAS assets to multiple folders within a repository, do one of the following:

Drag assets in the Asset Explorer view to move assets from one folder to another. If you want to create a folder from within the Asset Explorer view, right-click the repository or asset and click New > Folder.
Right-click the asset in the Asset Explorer view and click Copy. In the Copy Resource window that opens, browse to the folder to copy the asset to.

What to do next

If you want to copy an asset to a folder in another repository, you must first download the asset, and then publish it to the repository.
