You can create service models to represent the services
that an application can provide. You can transform BPMN models or
model elements to service models or you can reference BPMN model elements
in a service model; you can also create service models from scratch.
You must create a service model in a new or existing Model Project
or UML Project.
Procedure
- Click .
- In the Model Project window, type
a name for the model and click Next.
- In the Categories pane, click Services
Modeling.
- In the Templates pane, complete one of the following options:
- For an empty model, click Blank Services Package.
- For a model that provides a recommended package structure
and some reusable elements, click Services Design Model.
You might select this option if you are using a more formal and rigorous
service-oriented application development process such as Service-Oriented
Modeling and Architecture (SOMA).
- Click Finish.
