Applying manual mappings

When you structurally merge models, you can apply manual mappings to match similar model elements that have different names. For example, if you want to compare Class1 in Model1 to Class2 in Model2, you manually map Class1 to Class2.

Before you begin

You must have a Combine Models dialog box open.

Procedure

  1. In the Source pane, right-click an element; then click Select source element for manual map.
  2. In the Target pane, right-click an element; then click Select target element for manual map.
  3. In the Create Manual Mapping dialog box, click OK.
