Languages reference

Decision Designer provides two languages: the rule language and the Advanced Rule Language (ARL).

Rule language
Business experts write the business rules that drive the decision logic using the rule language. The syntax of the rule language is close to that of the natural language.
Advanced Rule Language (ARL)
As an alternative to the rule language, advanced users can write rules using the Advanced Rule Language in task models.
Business Function Language
You use the Business Function Language to define the body of business functions. The Business Function Language combines standard Rule language constructs with additional constructs that are specific to the Business Function Language.
