Syslog Server
The tape library creates a log of system events as they occur. The tape library can be configured to send a notification of each event to a customer-provided syslog (system log) server.
Events can be filtered by severity level (error, warning, and/or informational); see Event categories for details. Refer to Error codes for a complete list of events. Use the
page to:
- Specify the IP address of the syslog server.
- Specify the server port ID (the default is 514).
- Specify the severity level of events that are to be sent to the syslog server.
