3440 - A 12V DC power supply had intermittent power drops during the last 24 hours
A 12 V DC power supply had intermittent power drops during the last 24 hours. This could be caused by the power source seeing power peaks/drops or a faulty power supply. This fix procedure describes how to diagnose and correct the issue.
- Make sure the power source where the library power supplies are plugged in and in correct
working order (no power peaks/drops). If problem is not solved, go to next step.Tip: Refer to your facility's electrical personnel for power peaks/drops.
- If the problem persists, replace the reported power supply. See the power supply servicing procedures.
- If the problem still persists, contact IBM support.
During the procedure, if any part is found physically damaged, replace the applicable Customer Replacement Unit (CRU). See Customer service procedures.
