Ethernet ports

Ethernet ports allow network access to the tape library.

The following Ethernet ports are supported by TS4500 and Diamondback.
  • The management ports A and B allow redundant access to manage interfaces of the library.
  • The IMC and TSSC ports allow communication between the library and the Integrated Management Console (IMC) or TS3000 system console (TSSC) where the system console application is running.
  • The service port allows direct connection of a laptop to the library for local servicing.
The following IP addresses are reserved for IMC use by TS4500:
  • 192.168.1.2
  • 192.168.2.2
The following IP addresses are reserved for TSSC use by TS4500 and Diamondback:
  • 172.31.1.x
