A08C - A drive was replaced with an incorrect drive generation
This is caused by replacing a tape drive with a drive type with an incorrect drive generation. This fix procedure describes how to diagnose and fix the problem.
- Remove the incompatible drive and install a compatible one. See servicing the drive procedures.
- If the drive is a FRU replacement, run the Complete Service option from the Drives page in the management GUI.
- If the problem persists, Contact IBM support.
During the procedure, if any part is found physically damaged, replace the applicable Customer Replacement Unit (CRU). See Customer service procedures.
