Acoustical specifications
Several conditions must be in place to accommodate the acoustical specifications of the IBM® Diamondback tape library. This topic provides a general statement about the acoustical specifications.
When the Diamondback is both operating and
idling, the following conditions apply:
- Power is on.
- All air-moving devices are operating.
- Tape cartridges are loaded in all drives.
When the library is operating the robotic accessor loads, unloads, or moves tape cartridges. When the library is idling the robotic accessor does not move.
The Diamondback was acoustically tested per IBM standards CS 1-170-006, and -008 to determine compliance and to determine acoustical levels for the declaration.
