383D - An LTO drive was inserted into a 3592 drive slot

An LTO drive was inserted into a 3592 drive slot. This fix procedure describes how to correct the issue.

Fix procedure

  1. Remove the incompatible drive and install a compatible one. See servicing the drive procedures.
  2. If the drive is a FRU replacement, run the Complete Service option from the Drives page in the management GUI.
  3. If the problem persists, Contact IBM support.

Damaged Components
During the procedure, if any part is found physically damaged, replace the applicable Customer Replacement Unit (CRU). See Customer service procedures.
