Installing the Data Gate for watsonx backend for Db2 for z/OS

To install the Data Gate for watsonx backend on your z/OS, follow the steps in this section.

Procedure

  1. In the Program Directory, follow the instructions in chapter 6.1 Installing Data Gate to install the FMIDs HAQT710 and JAQT712 using SMP/E on IBM Z®.
  2. Install the fix for APAR PH53602. This fix contains updates for the IBM® Db2 Analytics Accelerator for z/OS stored procedures. Data Gate for watsonx uses the same set of stored procedures, which is why the updates are also required for Data Gate for watsonx. See Data Gate for watsonx stored procedures for more information. The fix for APAR PH53602 comprises the following program temporary fixes:
    Important: If you have installed IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator for z/OS for use with the same Db2 for z/OS system, then these PTFs exist. In this case, skip this step.
