Migrating data in the DevOps Test Virtualization Control Panel workspace on Windows

If you want to reuse data that is contained in the IBM® DevOps Test Virtualization Control Panel (Test Virtualization Control Panel) workspace when you want to install Test Virtualization Control Panel 10.2.3 or later, you must migrate the data by using the migration script.

You must have completed the following tasks:

Read and completed any tasks indicated in Installation considerations for DevOps Test Virtualization Control Panel.
Stopped Test Virtualization Control Panel. See Starting and stopping DevOps Test Virtualization Control Panel.
Extracted the downloaded package to a folder on the computer on which you want to install the product software.

Find the db-migration_<version> compressed file in the extracted package folder.
Extract the db-migration_<version> compressed file.

Note:
You can also read the instructions to use the migration script in the readme file.
Go to the extracted db-migration_<version> folder.
Right-click the migrate.bat file, and then select the Run as Administrator option.

The Command-line Interface is displayed.
Enter the path of the Test Virtualization Control Panel workspace, and follow the onscreen instructions.

The migration script runs and prompts for your action when the migration is completed.

You have migrated the data in the Test Virtualization Control Panel workspace so that you can reuse the same workspace.

You can check the logs for the files that were migrated. The logs can be found in the migration folder in the Test Virtualization Control Panel workspace.

You can install Test Virtualization Control Panel.
