Preparing to record and virtualize Db2 activity in COBOL and PL/I on z/OS

Before you can record and virtualize Db2® activity in COBOL and PL/I applications on z/OS® systems, you must start the agent and direct IBM® DevOps Test Integrations and APIs (Test Integrations and APIs) where to find your Db2 Connect license file.

Install and configure both components of the agent. For more information, see Installing and configuring the agent for z/OS.
  1. Start the agent from a command prompt by using the following command: 
    zosAgent
  2. Direct Test Integrations and APIs where to find your Db2 Connect license file by performing the following steps:
    1. Open the Library Manager and select Database (JDBC).
    2. Select IBM Db2 Connect (for connecting to Db2 on z/OS).
    3. Select Add in the Settings pane to identify the path to the resource db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar.
