Installing DevOps Test Integrations and APIs Agent by using the launchpad program
You can use the launchpad program to install IBM® DevOps Test Integrations and APIs Agent (Test Integrations and APIs Agent) when you want to use the IBM DevOps Test Virtualization (Test Virtualization) or IBM DevOps Test Performance Test Server (Test Performance Test Server) package.
- Reviewed the Installation planning for DevOps Test Integrations and APIs Agent.
- Downloaded the software package to your computer.
- Review the available licensing modes for the agents. During the installation, you are required to select the license mode that you are using. You cannot change the license mode after the installation and selecting the wrong license mode will cause the agent to not work. For information about the license modes, see Licenses for DevOps Test Virtualization.
- Review the information in Installation planning for DevOps Test Integrations and APIs Agent, if you are uninstalling an older version and installing a new version.
Download all the files required for the installation and extract them to a repository location in the recommended structure. After downloading the core installation packages, you must create repository locations that point to the disktag.inf file in each package. If there are multiple packages, you must create repository locations for each package. If a package contains multiple disks, create repository locations pointing to each disktag.inf file or supply the information when prompted during the installation.
By starting the installation process from the launchpad program, Installation Manager is automatically installed if it is not already on your computer, and it starts preconfigured with the repository location of the product package. If you install and start Installation Manager directly, you must set repository preferences manually. You have installed Test Integrations and APIs Agent.
