This topic explains how to change other users’ login
passwords.
About this task
If IBM® Rational® Test Control Panel’s
built-in security model is being used and you are an administrator,
you can change the login passwords of other server users.
To change the login password of another user:
- Log into Rational Test Control Panel.
- Click the Administration navigation
link.
Alternatively, click the Administration icon
on the Home page.
The Administration page
is displayed.
- Click the Users tab.
Note: The Users tab is
not displayed on the Administration page unless
you are an administrator.
The Users tab
is displayed.
- Select the check box next to the user’s
user name.
Note: You cannot select your
own user name.
A New password field,
a Confirm password field, a Change passwords button,
and a Delete selected users button are displayed on the Users tab.
- In the New password and Confirm
password fields, enter and re-enter a new password.
Note: If a new password is entered, it must be unique but
it can contain spaces and there is no limit on the number of characters
that can be used.
- Click Change passwords.
Note: The Change passwords button is unavailable
until the New password and Confirm password fields contain
the same password.
The user’s password
is changed.
A status message is displayed to
confirm this.
