Creating an operation

You can create an operation by using the menu or toolbar of the service component that can contain the operation.

  1. Create a new operation in the service component by using any of the following methods:
    • Creating an operation from the toolbar. Go to Step 2.
    • Creating an operation from the menu. Go to Step 4.

  1. Click the service component that is to contain the operation and then select General > Operation.

    The New Operation dialog is displayed.

  2. Provide a name for the new operation and then click OK.

  1. Right-click the service component that is to contain the operation and then select New > General > Operation.

    The New Operation dialog is displayed.

  2. Provide a name for the new operation and then click OK.

    You have created an operation in a service component.
