Working with SIBus messages

SIBus is a JMS provider. Therefore, the basic process for setting up, publishing, and subscribing to messages works the same way for SIBus as it does for JMS, except for the settings used for destinations.

The following procedure describes how to set up destinations for SIBus messages:

  • If you are using a SIBus transport that is configured with a direct connection, do one of the following:
    • If your destination type is a topic, you must enter the topic space name because topics are contained in topic space. Enter the topic space name followed by a colon and the topic name. For example:

      Note:
      Use this format for both the Destination and the Reply Destination fields.
    • If your destination is a queue, enter the queue name in the Destination and the Reply Destination fields. For example:

  • If the SIBus transport is configured with a JNDI connection, and the destination type is either a topic or a queue, in the Destination and the Reply Destination fields, use the JNDI name associated with the SIBus destination.
