WebSphere MQ software requirements
You must be aware of certain software requirements for using IBM® WebSphere® MQ for IBM DevOps Test Integrations and APIs (Test Integrations and APIs).
WebSphere libraries
To enable Test Integrations and APIs to work with WebSphere MQ, you must use Test Integrations and APIs Library Manager to specify the locations of the IBM libraries that are used for accessing WebSphere MQ.
- WebSphere MQ 9.0
- WebSphere MQ 9.1
- WebSphere MQ 9.2
- WebSphere MQ 9.3
- WebSphere MQ 9.4
You can configure different versions of those libraries depending on the version of WebSphere MQ that is used. Test Integrations and APIs Library Manager lists the required libraries that are required for each version of WebSphere MQ and also the default location that Test Integrations and APIs uses. The default location for the specified libraries can be modified in the Library Manager.
You can override the built-in version of WebSphere MQ with a custom version if you need to use specific JAR libraries that are compatible with jars 15 to 18.
For more information, see Working with Library Manager.
- While you work with WebSphere MQ 8.0 and later, you must configure the required client connection authentication type and specify either the operating system user account or the LDAP lookup details. For more information about security, see the related links.
- For configuring WebSphere MQ 8.0 onwards to support anonymous access, see the related links.
JMS interface libraries (optional)
The JMS interface can be used to interact with WebSphere MQ.
For more information about JMS, refer https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/java-message-service.html. For more information about WebSphere MQ JMS, see Testing with IBM WebSphere MQ messages.
To use the JMS interface to access WebSphere MQ, if required, you can create a provider under WebSphere MQ in Library Manager and specify the locations of the relevant libraries.
You can configure different versions of those libraries depending on the version of WebSphere MQ being used. Test Integrations and APIs Library Manager lists the required libraries that are required for each version of WebSphere MQ and also the default location that Test Integrations and APIs uses. Test Integrations and APIs is used to modify the default location for the specified libraries.
