Post-installation checklist

After you have installed the product, you must go through the post-installation checklist and complete the tasks.

You must review the task list and ensure the post-installation steps are completed as required.

  1. Verify your installation and ensure that you can start your product.
  2. Configure your license for Test UI.
    Note:
    It is important to have a valid license configured for Test UI in standalone as well as shell-shared environments. If a valid license is not available, the following functions are affected:
    • Opening the Functional Test perspective
    • Functionality related to the products that integrate with Test UI
    • Recording and playing back functional test scripts through the command line
  3. Open and view the important paths that are available in the registry entries:
    1. Click Start > Run and type regedit to open the registry editor. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > IBM > DevOps Test UI and view the paths.

  4. Optional: Open the application once with the -clean -configure option to remove any references of an older version if you were using the previous versions of Test UI.
    For example, you can run the following command:
