Running tests from Micro Focus ALM

You can run test assets from Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) to run the Web UI tests in IBM® DevOps Test UI (Test UI).

You must have completed the following tasks:

Created a test script in Micro Focus ALM. See Creating a test script in Micro Focus ALM.
Configured the test script in Micro Focus ALM. See Configuring test scripts in Micro Focus ALM.
Optional: Generated offline user token to publish test results to DevOps Test Hub. For more information refer to Managing access to the server in the DevOps Test Hub Documentation.

After the test run is complete, you can access the report to view the test run information. The Reports information section on the Output window displays the names of the report along with its corresponding URLs in the following conditions:

When you configured the URL of DevOps Test Hub in the preferences of Test UI (Windows > Preferences > Test > DevOps Test Hub).
When you set Publish result after execution to Always or Prompt in the preferences of Test UI (Windows > Preferences > Test > DevOps Test Hub > Results).

Log in to the Micro Focus ALM portal, if you are not already logged in.
The Micro Focus ALM dashboard is displayed.
Expand Testing from the left pane, and then click Test Plan.
Open the test script that you want to run.
Click the Test Script tab.
The test script is displayed.
Click the Execute Script icon to run the test script.

You have run the Web UI test scripts from Micro Focus ALM.

You can view the test result details that are displayed in the Output window of Micro Focus ALM.
