Navigating to a test, suite, or step from the functional report

You can navigate to the related test, suite, or specific step from the functional report to investigate failures, review details, or make corrections. By using this feature, you can locate test resources faster and fix issues quickly.

Before you begin

You must have run a test or suite in Test Hub.

Procedure

  1. Go to Analyze > Results in the navigation pane.

    The test assets that have completed their run are listed.

  2. Select the tab based on the type of test assets that you ran as indicated in the following table:
    If... Then...

    You ran AFT Suites, API Suites, Server Suites, or Compound Tests.

    Click the SUITES tab.

    You ran API Tests, Functional Tests, or Server Tests.

    Click the TESTS tab.
    You ran suites or tests, and you want to find the test assets by using custom filters.

    Click the ADVANCED tab.
  3. Click the test asset under the Test column.

    The result and report panel is displayed.

  4. Click the Reports tab, if it is not already open.
  5. Click the Functional Report option.

    The functional report page opens in a new tab.

  6. Click the expand icon to view the result details in a functional report., then

    The individual test steps or suite results are displayed

  7. Click the Open icon to access the specific test, suite, or a step in the Test Editor.
    If the selected test, suite, or a step is on a different branch, the Open Asset dialog prompts you to switch to the appropriate branch before opening the asset in the Test Editor page.

    If the selected test, suite, or a step is on the same branch, it opens directly in the Test Editor in a new tab.

    Note: The Open icon is disabled if the test, suite or a step is deleted or renamed.

Results

You have directly navigated to a selected test, suite, or specific step from the functional report.
