Configuring start preference for segments

Use the System Settings page to choose whether a segment starts automatically.

By default, segments automatically start as soon as they are eligible. A segment is eligible to start automatically if it has no prerequisite segments and no executor role assigned to it. You can turn off this feature and require that eligible segments to be manually started.

  1. Click Settings > System Settings.
  2. Under the Feature Flags section, toggle the Segment Auto-Start switch to specify whether segments are started automatically.
  3. Click Save.
    When the success message is displayed, click Close.
When this feature is turned on, Start buttons are displayed for eligible segments on the Deployment and Execution page. Use the Start button to start a segment.
