In addition to assigning a team to a resource (such as a workload or job) while you
create the resource, you can use the Teams page to map teams to
resources.
To map a team to an object, you must be a member of the team and have the manage teams
permission for that type of object.
You can assign teams to many items that you create. Teams can be assigned when you create
an item in the associated Create New item window. Teams can also be mapped to
objects with the object mapping security feature as described here. When a team is assigned to an
item, such as a project, only team members with the appropriate permissions can interact with the
affected item.Note: All user-created resources are automatically assigned to the System Team.
Because the System Team's Administrator role has all permissions that are granted for all Standard
security types, System Team users with that role automatically have all permissions for all objects.
Initially, only the admin user is assigned to the Administrator role. Neither the System Team nor
the admin user can be deleted.
