Creating notification schemes

Notification schemes define who is notified, when they are notified, and how notifications are sent.

To manage notifications, ensure that the following conditions are met:
Notification schemes define rules that determine which user groups are notified about selected events.
Note:
  1. On the left navigational panel, click System > Notification Schemes in the Notifications area.
  2. Click Create Create Notification Scheme.
  3. Using the New Notification Scheme page, type a name for the scheme in the Name field, and click Save.
  4. Click Add Who-When and complete the following actions.
    1. Select the event that triggers notifications from the Event Selector list.
      Build provides several event selectors. For information about creating your own event selector, see Configuring event selectors.
    2. Select the recipient generator that determines who receives notifications from the Recipient Generator list.
      Build provides several recipient generators. For information about creating your own recipient generator, see Creating recipient generators.
    3. Optional: Select the recipient generator that determines who receives CC notifications from the CC Recipient Generator list.
    4. Optional: Select the recipient generator that determines who receives BCC notifications from the BCC Recipient Generator list.
  5. Click Save.
