Creating system properties

System properties can set system-wide values for processes and projects.

The syntax for property references is ${p:property_name}.
  1. On the left navigational panel, click System > Properties.
  2. Using the Properties page, click Add Property.
  3. Type a name for the workflow in the Property Name field.
  4. Type a value for the property in the Value field.

    Empty-value properties allow a template to be reused across a large number of projects, even if different projects require different values. Empty-value properties can also be used to create standardized project templates.

  5. Optional: To secure the value, select Secure then type the value.
    Because secured values are obfuscated, you must also type the value in the Confirm field.
  6. Type a description for the property in the Description field.
  7. Click Save.
