Creating a suite

You can create a suite within your project in Test . You can add multiple tests and suites into a single suite for a test run.

You must have completed the following tasks:

Ensured that you are assigned a Team Space Owner, Project Owner, or Member with a Tester role to create or edit a test resource. See Managing access to the server projects.

Created a project in your team space in Test. See Creating a project.

Added the remote Git repository that contains the test resources to the project. See Adding repositories to a server project.

Log in to Test.
The Projects page of the initial team space is displayed.
Click My projects > project_name to open the project that contains the suite assets.
The Overview page of the project is displayed.
Click Author > Test Editor.
The Test Editor page and the test navigator panel are displayed.
Perform any of the following actions:
- Click Create Asset > Create Suite on the Test Editor page.
- Click the Action Menu icon and select Suite.
- Right-click the application in the test navigator panel and select New > Suite.
The Edit Branch dialog is displayed if there is no edit branch active. Otherwise, go to step 6.
Select your action to either select an existing Edit branch or create an Edit branch:
- Perform the following steps to select an existing Edit branch:
  1. Select Use an existing edit branch.
  2. Select an Edit branch from the Select branch list if Edit branches already exist for your repository.
    
    Note: A warning message is displayed if the Edit branch, which you selected, is behind the source branch. To update the selected edit branch and maintain synchronization with the source branch, you can select the Update branch option when switching checkbox.
  3. Click Ok.
- Perform the following steps to create the Edit branch:
  1. Select Create new edit branch.
  2. Enter a name for the Edit branch in the Branch Name field.
  3. Click Save.
Perform the following steps in the Create Suite dialog to create a suite:
1. Enter a name for the suite in the Asset Name field.
2. Select an existing application to save the suite asset you create.
3. Click Done.
Perform any of the following actions to add the tests and suites to the existing suite:
- Drag the tests and suites from the test navigator panel to Suite Editor.
- Click the Click to add option to add the tests and suites in Suite Editor.
(Optional) To add the tests and suites to the existing suite from other application, drag the test or suite from other application on the test navigator panel to Suite Editor.
Click the Save icon to save the suite.

You have created a suite.
