Access management for DevOps Test
Desktop clients and third-party integrations use offline user tokens to connect to Test .
You can configure desktop clients and third-party integrations to access Test by using the offline user
tokens generated from the server.
Note: Offline tokens remain valid indefinitely.
However, if a token is unused for 30 days, it expires. When you use an offline
token, it uses the permissions that are currently assigned to your user
account.
You can use offline user tokens to perform the following tasks:
- Retrieve secrets configured on the server to be used in certain tests in IBM® DevOps Test Integrations and APIs (Test Integrations and APIs).
- Enable publishing of test results and reports from desktop products that include Test Integrations and APIs, IBM® DevOps Test Performance (Test Performance), or IBM® DevOps Test UI (Test UI) to Test.
- Enable the Resource Monitoring Service in Test Performance to monitor a data source during a run on Test.
- Enable agents to connect with Test.
- Enable HTTP proxies to connect with Test.
- Enable third-party integrations.
