Manually creating groups

Groups are logical containers that serve as a mechanism to grant permissions to multiple users; members automatically share a group's permissions.

You can create groups manually for internal storage type authorization realms. Groups must be imported for others types, such as LDAP.
  1. On the left navigational panel, click System > Groups.
  2. Click Create Group.
  3. Type a name for the group in the Group Name field.
  4. Select an authorization realm from the Authorization Realm list.
    Groups are only valid for the selected realm.
  5. Click Save.
