Configuring the resource in IBM DevOps Deploy

You must configure the resource to add an agent and associate the agent with the component in IBM® DevOps Deploy (Deploy).

You must be familiar with working with Deploy.
You must have performed the following tasks:
- Been granted access to Deploy.
- Created a component in Deploy. See Creating a component in IBM DevOps Deploy.
- Created a resource in Deploy. See Creating a resource in IBM DevOps Deploy.

Log in to Deploy, if you are not already logged in.
The Deploy dashboard is displayed.
Click Resources.
A list of resources that are available in Deploy is displayed.
Perform the following steps to add an agent to the resource:
1. Click the resource from the list for which you want to add an agent.
2. Click the Actions icon from the last column, and then click Add Agent.
3. Select the agent from the drop-down list.
  
  Note: The Name field is auto populated with the name of the agent.
4. Click Save.
  The selected agent is added to the resource and you can view the status of the agent in the Status column.
Perform the following steps to add a component to the agent:
1. Click the agent from the list for which you want to add a component.
2. Click the Actions icon from the last column, and then click Add Component.
3. Select the component from the drop-down list.
  
  Note: The Name field is auto populated with the name of the component.
4. Click Save.
  The selected component is added to the agent.

You have configured the resource in Deploy.
