Creating dashboards

Create dashboards and favorites to manage metric data charts and graphs.

You create dashboards to by attaching charts to your project data that help you analyze your projects quality and efficiency.

Dashboards are created on the Insights Dashboards page. After you create a dashboard and customize it with charts and filter conditions, you can save and use for future sessions. The Delivery Performance dashboard is provided by default. It has several charts preconfigured, including the Lead time, Cycle time, and Build count charts. You can customize the Delivery Performance dashboard by adding new charts, and setting filters and data scope conditions.

To create a dashboard, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Measure Home page, click Insights > All Dashboards > Create dashboard.
  2. In the Create dashboard dialog, in the Name field, enter a dashboard name.
  3. In the Description field, enter a distinctive description for the dashboard.
  4. Click Add.
    Dashboards are also displayed either in card view by clicking card view layout or in list view by clicking list view layout on the Insights All Dashboards page. In the list view, you can sort fields in ascending or descending order by clicking on the following field names:
    • Name
    • Description
    • Creator
    • Last Modified
    • Modified By
    Each card or list view item contains status information about the dashboard, and provides a link to the dashboard details. In either list or card view, you can click overflow icon and then select Delete to delete the dashboard.
    Note: You can use Ctrl+P to generate the portable document format file of dashboard reports.
  5. To add a created dashboard to your favorites, click the All Dashboards tab and then click list view layout to display the list view of dashboards. In the list, locate the Name of dashboard to be added to your favorites and then click my favorites icon unsaved in the left side of the field.
    The dashboard is listed on the My Favorites tab.
  6. To remove a dashboard from your favorites, click my favorites icon saved and the dashboard is removed from the My Favorites tab.
  7. To remove a dashboard from the My Favorites tab in card layout, click card view layout and then click overflow icon for the dashboard to remove and select Unfavorite.
  8. To remove a dashboard from the My Favorites tab in list layout, click list view layout and then click overflow icon for the dashboard to remove and select Unfavorite.
