License management and user administration

After you install DevOps Loop, you must manage licenses, users, and authentication to control access to platform resources.

License management

During installation, you can configure licensing information by using the license server settings that are provided in the Helm chart. For more information, see DevOps Loop licensing information.

The User Administration page displays license consumption information for the tenant. Administrators can view license usage across configured license tiers and manage user license assignments.

The Licenses section displays:

  • The available license tiers.
  • The total number of licenses in each tier.
  • The number of licenses that are currently assigned.
  • The number of licenses that remain available.

License usage information is updated automatically when user license assignments are modified.

User administration

As part of administration, you can add users to DevOps Loop and assign roles in Keycloak. For more information, see User access and administration using Keycloak and Enabling the social sign-up and social login for DevOps Loop.

You can use the default user management capabilities that are provided by the platform or manage users through the configured identity provider.

An administrator can manage users within a tenant. A tenant represents an organization within which multiple TeamSpaces can be created, and each TeamSpace can contain multiple Loops.

To access user administration, click Settings > User Administration.

Tenant information

The top section of the User Administration page displays summary information about the tenant, including:

  • Tenant name
  • Tenant ID
  • Creation date
  • Number of TeamSpaces
  • Number of Loops
  • Number of users

Managing users

The user list displays all users that belong to the tenant. You can perform the following actions:

  • Browse users within the tenant.
  • Search for users by name or email address.
  • Filter users by TeamSpace.
  • Filter users by Loop.
  • Assign or modify a user's license tier.

Select a user from the list to view detailed user information.

User details

When you select a user, the details pane displays information about the user, including:

  • User name
  • Email address
  • Assigned role
  • Associated TeamSpaces
  • Associated Loops

This information helps administrators review user access and license assignments across the tenant.

Roles

User roles are managed through Keycloak and are reflected in DevOps Loop. The assigned role for a user is displayed in the user details pane.

For information about managing users and roles in Keycloak, see User access and administration using Keycloak.
