Deleting resources

When you no longer require the resources, you can remove them from the Resource Tree page and choose to delete them permanently.

Before you begin

You must be logged in as an administrator or must have the permissions to Execute on Resources and Manage Children.

About this task

A deleted resource is removed from the Resource Tree, but not from the system. The deleted resources are moved to the Recycle Bin. The deleted resources remain in the Recycle Bin for 14 days, after which they are deleted permanently from the system.
Notes:
  • Resources that are part of resource template and dynamic resources, if deleted, are not moved to Recycle Bin and cannot be restored.
  • If the deleted resource is mapped to an environment, the resource is deleted from the environment also. In case you still require the deleted resource, restore the resource, and map it to the environment again.
  • In addition to the Resource Tree, resources might be displayed in several ways, such as by adding resources to an environment.

Procedure

  1. Login to IBM DevOps Deploy (Deploy).
  2. Go to Resources > Resource Tree.
  3. Select the checkbox that is associated with the resource to delete.
    Note: You can also select multiple resources that you want to delete.
  4. From the Actions list, click Delete.
    The deleted resources are moved to the Recycle Bin.
    Note: The subresources that are associated with the selected resources will also be deleted.

Results

You have deleted the selected resources.
