Testing Vault LDAP integration

You can test the Vault LDAP integration before you use the Vault property in a plug-in step.

Before you begin

You must have created a secret store and added an LDAP user to the IBM DevOps Deploy (Deploy) secret store. See Adding Vault LDAP users to the Deploy secret store.

Procedure

  1. On the web UI, click Secret Stores > vaultname > Ldap Users.
  2. Click the menu options on the right-side of the desired LDAP user.
  3. Click Test.
    The Test Vault Ldap User window is displayed.
  4. Enter the Vault key or property you want to test in the Property field.
  5. If the password is not configured for the user, then specify the password of the LDAP user in the Password field.
  6. Click Test.

    A message is displayed which indicates whether the test is successful or failed.

Results

You have tested the Vault LDAP integration.
