You can change the name and description of the past and upcoming recurring blackouts
in a series.
Before you begin
You must ensure the following requirements are met:
- Obtained permission to manage maintenance mode.
- Enabled the maintenance mode.
About this task
You can update a maintenance blackout by modifying the name and description and
rescheduling an upcoming maintenance blackout of a recurrent deployment series.
Note: You cannot change the name and description of deployments
beyond the upcoming maintenance blackout.
Procedure

Log in to Deploy.

Go to Settings.

Click Manage Maintenance Blackouts in the
System panel.
The settings System page is displayed.

Click
and then
click Edit for the maintenance blackout you want to reschedule.
The Update Maintenance Blackout window is
displayed.

To modify the name and description, enter a name and description in the
Name/description field.

To reschedule an upcoming maintenance event, select the Start Date for
the blackout.

Select the Start Time from the drop-down.

Select the Estimated End Date from the drop-down.

Select the Recurrence Pattern from the drop-down.
You can choose the
Daily,
Weekly, or
Monthly recurrence
pattern.
Note: Select Never for
a one-time blackout event.

Click Submit.
Results
You have updated a recurrence maintenance blackout by
modifying the name and description and rescheduling the event. The updated maintenance
blackout is displayed in the maintenance blackout list.
