Configuring the Eclipse plug-in

After you install the Eclipse plug-in, you must configure the plug-in. Use the Eclipse plug-in to browse IBM® DevOps Build (Build) projects and processes and to start a build in a process.

  1. In Eclipse, click Window > Preferences > Build Preferences.
  2. Specify values for the Build settings.
    Preference Value
    URL The base URL to the Build server, including the protocol. Specify a port number if the Build server does not use the default port. For example, specify https://server.example.com:8443.
    User The Build user name.
    Password The Build password.
    Recent Process Activities Displayed The number of recent build lives to display for each process. The default value is 5. You can specify up to 999 recent build lives to display.
  3. Click Window > Show View > Other, and then expand Build, and select Build View.
  4. Click OK.
    The Build view opens. Projects are displayed in the Build Projects folder. To start a build, right-click a process, and then click Run Process.
The Build view is available in Eclipse.
